The Postal and Telecommunications Museum Foundation adopted the name of Communications Museum Foundation in July 2004. The Postal and Telecommunications Museum Foundation was established in 1990 by the Hungarian Post Company (Magyar Posta Vállalat), the Hungarian Telecommunications Company (Magyar Távközlési Vállalat) and Hungarian Program Broadcasting Company (Magyar Musorszóró Vállalat) to provide for the operation of the Stamp Museum and Postal Museum preserving the relics of Hungarian post and telecommunications history. The founders have been fulfilling their commitments assumed in the deed of foundation since 1990, in an exemplary way.
